It all started in one larger language agency in Prague, where Vincent has worked as a teacher supervisor and Dagmar as a sales representative. We met, it worked, and in 2003 we decided to establish his own business. Then we found out that it worked so well that we got married in 2007. Our partnership is based on love, respect, fairness and a sense of humour.

Why “The Villa”?

The school was first based in a beautiful old villa in Vinohrady, right next to the original Villa of the Čapek brothers. We called it "the office", but our students started to call the school "the Villa", and so we kept the name. It represents not only the style of the space that we like, but also a kind of atmosphere which we believe plays a role in bringing satisfaction to teachers and students, and provides an ideal environment for learning and communication. In short, The Villa offers a pleasant, quiet and unique environment for language learning.

Our approach

From the beginning an individual approach to learning was a core part of our philosophy.
Communication is a key element that fills our lessons and our strength lies in the fact that we help students activate the language which they hold. Lessons are very interactive, and throughout the lesson we support the student’s active communication.
